I had a lovely time at church on Sunday. Easter is always a good time to reflect on the Lords love and the ultimate sacrifice he paid . The sermon was about fruitfulness and was based on John 15:16.
The Lord asks us to bear fruit that may abide but the 'How' sometimes eludes us. Jesus says we should remain in him that we may bear fruit and this includes building a relation ship with him through fellowship prayer and the study of the word. We however render these actions powerless when we do not act on the word we have received. You can enjoy the word, even say you are blessed by the word or feel convicted but that is not the end.
Sometimes in all honesty you may not even feel regret for old actions or in actions when you hear the word. That is when we have to pray for true repentance and act in the Grace we already have to combat sin and to be a vessel for His good use and the Lord who promises to never leave us will give us the strength.
God Bless
Anita
